GEE-GEES SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING

Sports Services held its annual Competitve Clubs awards banquet on Thursday night to celebrate the seasons of its 21 club teams. Most valuable players from each team were honoured as well as five major award winners for the year. Synchronized swimmer Catherine Pouliot  and rower Alanna Fogarty shared this year’s Female Clubs Athlete of the Year award while Nick Wagman of fencing took home the Male Clubs Athlete of the Year honour.

Over the weekend the Gee-Gees Synchronized Swimming teams competed in the National Championships at Carleton. The Gee-Gees took home an impressive four silver medals.

At the end of January, the uOttawa Synchronized Swimming teams had outstanding performances. The teams have been practicing since September, and have competed in the McGill Invitational, and the Eastern Championship at Queen's.
